Text Box: DID YOU KNOW?
In 1886 the Non-smokers scored 803 runs in a single innings against the Smokers, a world record. The message here would appear to be obvious, smoking is as bad for your cricket as it is for your health.

Magic Milestones

In the upcoming season we are sure to experience many memorable moments great wins, classy centuries, quick fifties, five and ten wicket hauls, fantastic catches and much more exciting cricket.  Also important to recognise are those small personal milestones that players achieve after long periods of service to the club. After a careful study of the statistics we have come up with the following list of personal milestones that players may achieve in the upcoming season:

Chris Smith 500 runs,  Martin Phillips 500 runs,  Daniel Morrison 500 runs, Neil Upton 1000 runs, Robert Wilson 1000 runs,  Adam Mather 1000 runs,  Jim Connell 1000 runs, Michael Podd 1000 runs, Glenn Tucker 1000 runs Rohan Capes 1000 runs          Mark Greenwood 1500 runs John Nicholls 1500 runs Scott Blaylock 1500 runs, Glenn Ward 3000 runs,  Craig Small 3500 runs, John Ramsden 50 wickets,   Rod Minehan 200 wickets, Luke Raymond 200 wickets, Greg Morgan 50 games, Shaun Derrick 50 Games, Glen Tucker 50 games, Neil Upton 50 games, James Connell 100 games, Craig Small 100 games,         Mark Greenwood 100 games, Chris Hull 100 games. We also have a 1st Batsmen who turns the big 40 and a 1st bowler turning 30. ( I wonder who they are)

Whether these or other magic moments are achieved or not we will have to wait and see, but you can be sure that as they are we will let you know ( If the players don’t first).
